Workability Americas

Americas logoIn January 2002, at the IPWH Conference held in San Diego, California, USA, the ABANA group in conjunction with other members of IPWH agreed the creation of Workability International as It was also agreed that the ABANA membership would join other organizations in the USA such as NISH and Goodwill International and form the Americas Group, now Workability Americas of Workability International.

Organisations joining Workability International within the Americas continents become individual members of Workability Americas. Currently there are 25 members from Brazil, Canada and the USA. Working with Workability International members in Europe and India a number of trade activities have been developed creating and/or sustaining employment for disadvantaged people especially people with disabilities in different parts of the global economy.

The Workability Americas’ Board nominate two representatives to the Workability International Board and operates its own bye-laws. Two meetings are held in the USA and further information relating to the meetings, can be accessed via the website.
