Close co-operation on a consistent basis throughout our member organisation is an essential pre-requisite of developing world-class systems of work provision for people with disabilities. This is achieved by:

  • Supporting our members to build sustainable and professional capacity
  • Encouraging professional and ethical services

We do this by:

  • Profiling, assessment, training, personal and career development.
  • Funding, licensing, franchising and inter-trading.
  • Practical uses of technology and workplace adaptations.
  • Commercial matters and marketing.
  • Production methods and opportunities in service industries.
  • Integration, progression and placements.
  • Socio-economic costing.

In addition and in respect of workers with disabilities, member organisations of Workability International:

  • Focus on people with disabilities’ employment support needs; their abilities and aspirations.
  • Encourage personal development through opportunities for career advancement and the acquisition of occupational and life skills;
  • Promote the concept of self-determination in work and employment;
  • Are dedicated to best practice and high quality in employment activities, progression and transition services;
  • Actively seek to ensure a decent quality of life and a safe and inclusive working environment;
